New FAVORITE restaurant in Asbury Park: Reyla (middle eastern cuisine)!!!! It was our first time there, so we didn’t even think to take food pics (wish we had), but every plate was amazing!! Layers of flavors, bright and rich, along with aromas to make you salivate! (I joked that I wanted to take the eggplant dish around the corner and lick the bowl clean for the sauce!) And to top it off, we mentioned that today is our anniversary (Happy 22 yrs, Ron!), and they gave us this card, signed by every staff member!!! What?!?! Talk about service! Today my wife and I visited this establishment for the first time, and I can assure you it won’t be our last! The minute you step inside the first thing you notice is how clean and chic everything looks. Everything from the restauran decor, to the staff themselves, makes you feel relaxed and welcome. Our server today was super helpful, and the food was absolutely incredible (my hats off to the cooks in the back for pushing out such a great flavor bombs!). As someone who worked in fine dining for over 20 years, I can be a bit picky, but I had not a single bad thing to say about the food. We started off by ordering the avocado toast, which was absolutely incredible. Served on a light fluffy focaccia bread with pickled onions and beets, every bite was flavorful with a slight kick to keep you going back for more. For the entrées, we ordered the waffles and fried chicken and the vegan tofu shakshouka. First off, the shakshouka was out of this world. The seasonings were spot on, and the scrambled tofu and chickpeas went great together. The Latkas were also very delicious, just the right amount of crisp. And finally, the chicken and waffles were absolutely off the chart. The chicken was perfect and tender, cooked to perfection, and the waffles with chicken gravy were a perfect complement. I left this restaurant, feeling full and happy to a found a new eating spot! Thank you to the cooks and servers for doing such a wonderful job! AAA+

You cannot beat all night happy hour on Wednesday. The happy hour menu had a good selections of cocktails and a good varieties of shareable tapas. We had lettuce wrap, mezze plate, and two chicken sliders. All were great, especially the lettuce wrap. You got three of them. The chicken sliders were tiny. You can finish one in two bites if you want. The menu is somewhat limited but the cocktails and wine list were long.

My wife and I had dinner at Reylas and we were extremely happy with the entire experience. Our waiter was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We shared 4 appetizers and we had more than enough food to satisfy us both. We highly recommend the Turkish Hummus and the Eggplant appetizer. Both were fantastic. Although this was our first time, it certainly will not be our last.

Wow, I love Barrio and I used to love this place but man the service has gone downhill in the last 2 years. A couple of months ago I came for brunch. An absolute nightmare. They had just introduced brunch and was very excited to try the new food items. It was very clear the restaurant was under staffed and for a group of 6, four meals came out 20 minutes before the other 2. Plus the orders were incorrect. That was strike one. Today, 12/30 my party was enjoying food and drinks and everything was great. Until we got a second round of drinks that were very different from the first round. We had substituted alcohol for a different alcohol on a house cocktail and the first round was awesome. Second round tasted very strange however and we were pretty confident they forgot to switch the alcohols. The second round was BAD! We confronted the server who was kind to this issue but in the strangest move ever returned saying “the bartender says you’re gaslighting her and it is in-fact tequila”. One of the rudest statements to transfer from the bar. To make matters worse was the silent treatment the manager gave us delivering the new drinks. “Thank you”…. Silence and walking away. RUDE RUDE RUDE. Lost a costumer of 3 years.
